PLM User Initiative 2008

The PLM User Initiative provides companies with a managed framework to interact and collaborate with each other throughout 2008.  It enables participants to combine their experience and best practice, and to generate specific solutions to their own most important PLM problems.

Aim

To enable a group of companies to gain synergy from their PLM implementions to generate and quantify a common set of PLM Best Practices, and to enhance the PLM implementation of each participant by focused application of the new knowledge, tools and metrics.

Benefits

  • On-site Mobilisation positions your implementation with those of the other participants
  • Leverage the combined knowledge of the group to solve PLM problems
  • Managed framework enables collaboration at low overhead
  • PLMIG provides both group and individual working material
  • Each participant sets their own subset of deliverables

Pre-Registration

There is a Pre-Registration process so that everyone who feels that they might like to participate can see and talk to each other before making any commitment.

Pre-Registration is open to any company that is actively implementing PLM, and carries no obligation to take part.  The process will give a rare chance to compare an overview of your own PLM environment with those of several other leading implementors.  Ericsson, Rieter Automotive, Fokker Services, Alcoa and Wärtsilä have already Pre-Registered, and discussions will continue at the PLM Summit in Toulouse.

To find out more about the PLM User Initiative, and how to join the Pre-Registration process, follow the links into the site.
