Class A PLM

Excellence in PLM has always been a vague and distant concept.  The PLMIG now has a programme that can achieve Class A PLM and demonstrate advanced performance.

PLM Toolsets

PLMIG toolsets do not require the input of external advisors.  These are the instruction books for PLM. You can pick up the tools and use them for yourself.

                    PLM Digital Future

Positioning PLM in the Digital Age

  Digital Future Group

PLM is evolving, but the industrial world is evolving faster.  Boardroom attention is focusing on the Industrial Internet of Things, Industrie 4.0 and Digital Engineering as the shape of the future.

For companies that develop products, PLM is essential for these new technologies to succeed.

The PLM Digital Future Group will explore the role of PLM across all of future industry and establish its position at the forefront of manufacturing improvement.

The aim of the Digital Future Group is not just to position PLM alongside all of the new technologies - it is to expand the concept and realm of PLM so that it is the leading force for Digital Change across all product-related industries.

It will do this by starting with PLM and the Digital premise, and ranging everywhere.  Although part of the parent Steering Group, the Digital Future Group will be self-standing to the outside world, with its own branding and its own Agenda for 2019.  It will follow the spread of IIoT, I4.0 and Digital into new sectors such as AEC, Transportation, Petrochemical, and Mining, to see how PLM applies there.  It will range beyond the product to look at the way the product is supported, by Plant, for example - and it will look at the new connected ways of working, to see how PLM will be reshaped by these.

With this fresh, unbounded viewpoint, and an active programme of surveys, white papers and hosted events, the Digital Future Group will formulate a new Digital Paradigm for PLM that will enable companies to position themselves correctly for Digital and leverage the most advanced aspects of PLM.

You can find more information about the Digital Future Group via and join via the Steering Group.
