To create such a complex model, and to generate the industry acceptance that it will need, will require an international
collaborative project in which the most advanced PLM organisations take part:-
Steering Group
Such a complex, global project cannot be run by the PLMIG alone. It needs the input and support of major PLM user and vendor
organisations to act as a Steering Group, to set the working framework of the Model, and the terms of reference of the project that
will generate it.
The Steering Group will guide a global consortium of PLM users and vendors that form the core participation
in the project, with a PLMIG development framework that allows smaller organisations to take part.
Steering Group membership allows far-sighted organisations the opportunity to:-
- Influence the PLM Benefits Reference Model at its formative stage
- See the true best practice state of PLM by meeting other members
- Gain insights into your own PLM implementation and plans
- Display a high profile in the world of PLM
- Host meetings that advance the state of PLM knowledge
How to Take Part
Your organisation can join the Steering Group of the Benefits Reference Model directly, or by becoming a
Corporate Member (which also gives a 'Steering Committee' role
in the other Reference Models).
