The Professional PLM Initiative announces a Round Table Workshop in Wolfsburg, Germany on 30-31 January

Oxford, England. December 14, 2017
The Professional PLM Initiative announces a Round Table Workshop on Professionalising the PLM Industry. The Workshop will be held on 30-31 January 2018 at the Headquarters of the Volkswagen Group in Wolfsburg, Germany.
The Workshop will feature a Keynote presentation by Dr. Richard Baumann of the Volkswagen Group, explaining the benefits for engineering and manufacturing companies of professionalising PLM.
The Keynote forms part of a structured Agenda that covers all of the issues surrounding the development of an international, unified PLM Profession. Working sessions and group discussions will enable delegates to add their ideas and input to the debate.
The Workshop is open to PLM practitioners of any organisation, of any type, located anywhere in the world. It is part of a programme that will run throughout 2018, so that its results may form a platform for further moves towards establishing a profession for PLM.
Full details can be found on the PLMIG web site, or via .
The PLM Interest Group
The PLM Interest Group is the leading neutral body for PLM. It has produced the PLM Project Justification Handbook for PLM financial justification; the PLMuERP Handbook for enterprise-wide PLM-ERP integration; as well as tools for Benchmarking, Maturity Measurement and Self-Assessment.

Although it produces a wide range of toolsets for PLM, the PLM Interest Group does not provide training courses or certification. As such, the PLMIG can offer a neutral and independent platform for this discussion.
