European PLM Summit: 23-25 June

The European PLM Summit moves from London to Toulouse this year and becomes a 3-day event, in order to add a new attraction:- a tour of the Airbus facility on the opening day.  This gives a unique opportunity to learn and experience first hand how the latest product design, development and production technologies combine to help maximise the output of for the new Airbus A380.

The tour takes place from 1pm on the 23rd June and includes:-

  • a presentation of the full A380 programme giving an insight into some of the key factors considered during the development of the new aircraft
  • a bus tour around the site, giving a true understanding of the scale of the operation and an appreciation of the site layout and design
  • a real time view of some of the key dynamics in the A380 testing process showing how every new carrier is put through its paces
  • an overview of how the new A380 comes together, the importance of ‘Joined-up design’ in manufacturing excellence, and how the assembly line is optimised to maximise carrier output

Following this chance to see PLM in action, there will be a two day gathering of industry professionals at the European PLM Summit itself, made up of keynote conference sessions and interactive workshops run by leading solution providers covering the length and breadth of the PLM spectrum.  Pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings will also allow you to meet other attendees face to face to discuss how this business strategy can enhance your design, delivery and development of new products throughout the whole lifecycle.
