PLM User Initiative 2008 Launches with Pre-Registration

Pre-Registrants gain implementation insights

Oxford, England. March 31, 2008

The Product Lifecycle Management Interest Group (PLMIG) announces the launch of a globally-based PLM User Initiative that will provide companies with a managed framework to interact and collaborate with each other throughout 2008.  The Initiative enables participants to combine experience and best practice, and to derive specific solutions to their own most important PLM problems.

The aim is to enable a group of companies to gain synergy from their PLM implementions, to generate and quantify a common set of PLM Best Practices, and to enhance the PLM implementation of each participant by focused application of the new knowledge, tools and metrics.

Pre-Registration Details

Pre-Registration is free, and includes the creation of a concise PLM Profile.  As the collected Profiles will be circulated amongst the Pre-Registrants for discussion, this will give an interesting comparison of a number of different, real PLM implementations.  There is no obligation to take part in the Initiative after the discussion phase.
