PLM User Initiative 2008

Pre-Registration

The PLM User Initiative has been running through a consultation period involving some of the leading companies in PLM.  Feedback has been very consistent.  The project format is widely approved but, quite naturally, people want to know:-

  • Who else will be participating?
  • What will be the deliverables for my company?

The best way to resolve this is to have a short discussion and interaction period between those who are interested in participating.  People can see who the other Initiative members might be, and can agree the specific benefits that they themselves would expect to gain.

This will be achieved by a short Pre-Registration process that is open to everyone and is free.  It consists of completing a 1-page PLM Profile that gives an overview of your PLM environment, and a short Pre-Registration Form to list your most important PLM issues and deliverables.

When the Profiles have been collected, everyone in Pre-Registration will see the entire set.  This in itself will give a rare overview of other real PLM environments.  The Pre-Registration Forms remain Confidential.

Pre-Registrants can then discuss with each other and with the PLMIG how the User Initiative should be finalised, and hence decide whether they would like to take part in the User Initiative itself.  There is no obligation to do so - if you decide not to go further, you will simply have had some thought-provoking insights into the current status of PLM.

How to Pre-Register

The Pre-Registration process is open to all PLM practitioners, from any part of the industry, and entails no commitment to take part.  You can request your copies of the PLM Profile and Pre-Registration Form via .

Completed Pre-Registration material should be returned to the PLMIG by Friday 04 April 2008.
